Chana Chaat
Before I start, I just want to clarify that chana chaat is one of my absolute favorite Pakistani snacks. I remember as a kid whenever Ammi would make this, I would immediately gobble up at least 3 bowls...... okay so maybe I still do that (LOL).
This recipe for Chana Chaat has an unconventional ingredient: ketchup. Now before you shake your head, hear me out. Ketchup, diluted with a little water, brings together the entire dish by helping the masala stick to everything, by providing a sweet-sour umami taste, and by forming an almost sauce-like consistency that coats everything.
Once again, you can customize this chaat to suit your preferences and whatever ingredients you have available.
