Steaming hot daal, with a spicy, aromatic tarka is a flavorful dish guaranteed to be devoured by everyone!

Nothing is more comforting and filling than a warm, spicy bowl of daal chawal and kacumber salad.

You can easily adjust this recipe to satisfy your preferences. Instructions are given for both a pressure cooker and an Instant Pot. You can easily use either.

 

If you prefer a thicker, richer daal, add about 2 cups of water. If you prefer a smoother daal, add 3 cups.
